Disaster over weekend

Post by Kirstylou »

:thinks:

Had a horrible disaster over the weekend, i went to the beach with my stitching and book to relax alone whilst the weather was sunny. I was happily stitching away on a small design for my mum when a big gust of wind came and took my chart :( no amount of chasing caught it, so i was left with only a small amount stitched and no chart!!!!!!

Anyway i emailed the designer as i only bought it 2 weeks ago and explained what had happened and she is now sending me another copy of the chart   due to the unusual circumstances

Can't wait for the chart to arrive now so i can finish a beautiful design.

 for a wonderful designer. How nice of her to do this. I have taken stitching along to the beach now and again and out in my backyard and had charts blow away too. But those are my working copies so I can always make another one. Another good reason for working copies. If you destroy them after you are finished that isn't a problem with copyrights.

Extremely fantastic customer service from the designer. So sorry that has happened but at least you will soon be stitching on that project again. I'm like Carole, I tend to make working copies just in case something like that would happen. Hope you get the chart soon

Thank goodness that the designer is so helpful :stars: :stars: to her for her help.

I usually make a working copy too as I often work out on the balcony and have had to chase charts, threads and needle case before now - and before I give in and head back inside.

I had that happened to me once when I stitched in the garden. Since there are trees surrounding the garden, I had DH climbed up to get it. Imagine an 72 years old trying to fetch it for me. Anyway, I, too, learned my lesson.

Great service from the designer too! :applesauce:

That's a nice thing for the designer to do for you...:)
Customer service is so important for repeat business and some places don't care about giving a good service, they just want your money!...

Excellent service...now you can finish the design for your Mum.

I use a metal chart board and magnets to keep my charts safe, slipped into a plastic A4 sleeve. Plus a handy clothes peg to clip my fabric to when threading needles or changing threads.

Didn't stop me dropping it into a puddle once though!!
