Got some of this done while waiting for my son to complete his first Tang Soo Do test on Saturday...(he's earned his Orange/white belt!)

Image

This should go fast now, I'm used to the Monks cloth & the positions of the water drops & ripples will not be "precise".

:applesauce: Looks good. Your stitches are so neat and even. Is the cloth as different as it looks, or is it the close up? It is a lovely color.

Hi Carole, it's "different" that's for sure! A lot of my stitches wanted to "slide" accross the weave (it is almost like an evenweave that way) and it can get to be a bit aggravating sometimes (I think that's why I've taken it so slowly).

I can't wait to be done with this one & back on to some tightly woven aida!

OK, creative quandry question here:

In the original project (a thank you for a plumber) the wording is in the dark gray(outline color of the faucet) & green.

I was going to stitch it in the dark blue but now I'm thinking of using the "rust" color, it's only on the top of the faucet so far. What do y'all think?

I would use a dark blue color if it was me, but the rust would be a good contrast color as well.

:applesauce: I think it looks good with the rust, but a dark blue might make it look more "together" which isn't the word I want, but on the blue fabric would certainly look good. Glad your thumb isn't hurting. Don't overdo it. Hopefully it isn't anything serious.

Rust is almost a complementary colour to a medium blue, so it might have a strong appearance. A dark blue would help the image stand out more I think. (which is maybe what Carole is saying too?)

Thank you for asking, CC. By pacing myself & using the brace (& some Naprosyn!) I seem to be able to work on my :wip: . Which is a GOOD thing, I ***really*** want to kit up that BAP of Dr. Who (but dh says "no way, not 'til you get some things finished in your :wip: )
