HAED Dragonriders - Dragon Afghan update 8/21/12

Got a lot done this time round (15 hours) as there was some, but not a lot, confetti. Mostly big blocks of color. Though the beginning was difficult stitching

after arguing I won for a change and got the hoop. She got the rest of the afghan on my lap.

Very nice progress on this one Carole Jess as always is peeping over my shoulder so she can see Laverne's antics....every time I'm on the forum she asks me if there are any new pics of her Laverne is one very famous cat and looks like she acts the diva too!

Looks so lovely. You certainly have made a lot of progress . Are you sticking to 15 hours per rotation every time now instead of 10hrs? I got a bit bored of my rotation and have just decided to stitch what I feel like.

I'm still pretending that it is a 10 hour rotation so I can feel like I'm not following the "rule" when I go over 10hrs. I still like it since I still like all that I'm stitching. Next is a "non HAED" because I realized that I would never get my others done and I do Bookend Kitties when it comes up in the BB SAL so that kind is off rotation. I'm trying to stick to it because I told myself that I could start a new one after going through a complete rotation twice. I have no idea if any of that makes sense, but as I said before since I make the rules I can change them or break them anytime I want. They are more a "guideline".

Despite the heat and the help I got about 18 hrs worth of stitching on this one. Hardly any confetti so despite the fact that I had to about 100 stitches and redo them (wrong color and though I thought about leaving it, didn't especially because it was supposed to be one of the darker shades and I had used a lighter one. Grrrrrrr ).
Laverne really does love my stitching the afghans most. The fabric is cozy and the hoop is so good to sit in.
