I am a big rugby league fan - especially of a 3 game series in Australia between Queensland and New South Wales held each year. Now there is a big attendance to one of these games (>50,000) and last night there was one of these games on at Suncorp Stadium which happens to be 2 minutes down from where I work and which I have to pass on the way home so I left work early to beat the traffic. However in my rush to leave work I forgot the bag that contained my stitching (brought to work to take piccies). Now normally I would have just gone back to work (only 10mins away) to get it however I couldn't do this because of the game. So I was at home, early, with a few hours before the game started on tv, with no stitching to do. Being part of this forum has really ignited my stitching bug so not having any stitching was a problem - the solution, start another project. It another one from the Country Threads range (like my puppy)
My start:
I didn't get much done as turned up a couple of times - The first time I actually started with the fabric the wrong way!
Oh and by the way Queensland won 30-0!
The birdies are really cute I could not get the other two pictures to show. Can't figure out wht the problem is on that. How can you stitch adn watch your rugby team play? I am a football and hockey fan but when a good game is on I have to put down the stitching.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror
For most rugby games I tend not to have too much of a problem - however for the game last night I had to put my stitching aside it was just too exciting.

I blame all of you for having 3 on the go, I am only a one at time girl but then I started talking to you all here while at work (only access to a computer) which made me want to stitch at work so I decided to start my angel to do during my lunchtimes (easier to have 2 on the go, than pack up and bring in my doggie each day) and then I accidently left my dog at work (after bringing it in to work to get a progress pic) and couldn't not stitch for a night (horror!! ) so started no. 3.... But the budgies have been put on hold at least until I get my dog finished.

xcellent stuff Kimkat-you are so brave for having 3 projects on the go-you are a stitching genius!!! You deserve a star for all your hard work, but have a cake instead
Live every moment like it means something, because it does!!! And cross stitch every moment you can steal.lol
Wow, I really like the way the bird picture will look. Such pretty colors in what you've done already too. The good thing about multiple projects is you wouldn't get bored, right? You don't feel like working on one, you have your choice of two others!
Angel:
The progress has been slow as we are busy at work and the amount of time I have for lunch at the moment doesn't allow for much stitching (stupid clients that don't know what they want until it has all been designed, then tell us what they want and make us have to redesign it all! ) I didn't have too much trouble stitching the star considering this was one stand of gold cotton and 2 of metallic thread but the wings are taking a really long time even though it is only half stitch, it is using a thin 'ribbon' and to make it look really good I am making sure that it sits flat and not twisted.
Bluey's Boots:
Progress on this has been much better - probably because the boots were large sections of the same colour and that the end is close more seems to get done.
