Makes sense to start over if you haven't done a lot and aren't happy with it. I can't wait to see it when you have a chance to start again. It will also be a lot easier to stitch.

I'm glad you figured out the error before you had gotten too far into this project. I hope you are able to frog out the stitching without too much trouble

Thanks for the hug, Karen. I'm a little bit nervouse about :ribbit: ing on the linen, so I decided to WAIT & :ribbit: it out in the bright sun-shine (& when I'm not so tired!)

I'm guessing that I have to :ribbit: out about 5 hours worth of work YIKES that sounds like a lot!

I really do feel for you big time. I had to deal with mr :anotherfrog: last year in a very big way. I was stitching a Joan Elliott design and after a week or so of stitching I discovered that I had managed to turn the fabric 90 degrees so I'd been stitching it on the wrong direction!!! I was soooooo not at all happy--and that was on 32 count hand dyed evenweave
Good luck and I hope to see you starting this one again very soon!

YIKES, Karen! A whole weeks worth of stitching? That would be a serious bummer!

How do you make sure that you're oriented correctly now? (I've never had that problem & would like to make sure...)

I have done the same mistake that Karen did with turning a fabric 90 degrees. I now take my gridding pen and put an arrow pointing to the top at the very top of the fabric. Before I knew about gridding pens I would stitch an arrow at the top of the fabric. Has saved me several times. :shamrock: Good luck with your :ribbit: . If you take it slow and easy (don't get too frustrated, which I do) it will come out with no damage, I'm sure.

I don't use a marking pen, as I don't grid. But what I do, is to mark the top edge by a spare needle or to just make a nice basting stitch in the top--especially if I'm working with the qsnaps and cover. :?

NOTHING like photographing your work to find freakin' Mr :anotherfrog: !!!

I found :anotherfrog: :anotherfrog: at the bottom of BOTH the flower bushes & :ribbit: :ribbit: 'd 'em out before we went to dinner....GRRRRRRR (at least they were MUCH easier to :ribbit: than when I was doing the 2 over 1!)

Now I have to re-do them (& get 'em RIGHT this time!)
