Decided to pick Grace back up when I got home from vacation. I'm getting cold feet about the Blackwork Lady even though I've already prepped my linen for it. Anyway, I got a lot of stitching done on Grace despite Mr. :anotherfrog: visiting me several times. :x

Thanks! I'm very eager to finish up her face. I'm going to see how it looks without the back stitching to decide if I want to add that in now or later. I'm kind of holding off on any backstitching though because I'd like to try and use colors from the same color family as the area I'm backstitching for more subtle definition than using mostly black. And I'd prefer to use any spare thread from the kit before venturing into other colors from my stash, which means waiting to be done with those other colors.

I've got most of her face and one of her hands stitched and the features seem to stand out well enough, so I can wait until I am all done for the bs.

I alway keep the backstitch last!!
Because it bores me & also because I know my work is nearly done :P
I can't believe how fast you stitch...
It all looks lovely, you're getting there.

Thanks ladies! I don't think I stitch that fast, Mii... I just spend a lot of time on it in any given stitching day. I think I stitched for ten hours or so today (with plenty of breaks!)

Ok, that's how you do it!!!
I will have to give up my job
