Re: 3madspaniels 2012. Thea Gouverneur - New York 1/5
I think you've accomplished a lot, especially if you're not really feeling it currently. Having your HAED to rotate in will help I hope!

Re: 3madspaniels 2012. Thea Gouverneur - New York 1/5
Thank you for all your kind words.
It's been a while since I posted anything here. I lost my stitchy bug for a while after being on holiday, then decided to stitch a couple of small things!
First up, progress on New York. Starting to like stitching this one now. After 20+ years I have had to highlight my chart for the first time ever! The vertical lines of grey were making counting just too much of a strain and I didn't want to grid 36 count linen! However, since giving in and using a highlighter, I'm now finding this one more enjoyable. I've moved over to start the Chrysler building for a bit of variety!

Next up, two bookmarks. I don't really like doing little fiddly things like these, but needed to make a couple of pressies. I have been volunteering in a Primary School two days a week since January, as preparation for a college course in September, and wanted to give the teacher and assistant in the class a little something as a thank you for making me feel so welcome. I added the rabbit to the back of the pansy bookmark, as the Teaching Assistant is having a lot of problems with rabbits eating her flowers!

Next, a little Christmasy piece. This is stitched on a lovely opalescent fabric that was in a Polestitches grab bag. Some of you may remember the Lizzie*Kate "Welcome, Sit, Stay" that I stitched last year. Well this is to go on the reverse, as a door sign that I can turn over to the snowman for Christmas (eventually!!). This was originally a square design and I had to rework the wording layout to make it a similar shape and size as the Lizzie*Kate piece.

And finally.......... another new start! I was desparate to start my new HAED "Don't tell the others" which is of two Spaniel puppies, but decided that two BAP's at a time was probably enough with my college work looming. So I settled for this one that has been in my stash for just over a year. I'm stitching this one on 28 count "Moonlight" fabric from Polstitches, a nice subtle green/lilac mix. This is the design, I'll post an update when I've done a bit more! It's called "Lovely Boy" by Jayne Netley-Mayhew, one of my favourite designers!

Warm Winter Wishes is a chart from Waxing Moon Designs. I got my copy from Sew and So in the UK but I'm sure somewhere like 123 stitch would also sell it.

Wow you have been busy.
I love the book marks and in particular the Rabbit on the back. Your New York is coming on beautifully and Winter Wishes is so cute. Finally your Spaniel is gorgeous, his eyes are so soft and bright. I look forward to seeing this one grow
