Hello

Post by peach »

I am new here. I have been unwell this year and so have had lots of time on my hands and taken up cross stitch, despite feeling like I do lots of it I have only really done two projects. I have just started a big (for me) sampler thought I would join here for inspiration and motivation!

This is the one i just finished, it looks very crinkly and rubbish but it is a start I guess!

Excuse me, but that doesn't look the slightest bit rubbish to me! Way neater than anything I've done.

Mind you, a little bit of ironing wouldn't go amiss :)

Oh, and, Welcome to the forum :P

 Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina. I agree with debra that there is nothing that looks "rubbishy" to me on this piece which seems very well done, especially if its your first or second one. You've come to the right place for encouragement and motivation. You will get as much or more than you expected. I'm looking forward to seeing your work. As you probably guessed if you have been looking around we love pictures. Are they any types of designs that you especially would like to do?

Welcome to the forum! There's nothing rubbishy about that stitching you've just shown us. :P And the wrinkles can be fixed quite quickly with an iron. :) I'm looking forward to seeing more of your projects. A lot of us post progress pics of our bigger projects in the Stitch-A-Long section, so feel free to make a thread there to share your progress on that sampler.

Hi "Peach" and Welcome from lovely and warm, sunny Brisbane.

Love your Home Sweet Home one, such lovely and unusual colours and they all go well together.

Would love to see your next start and you will certainly get plenty of encouragement with it.

Pish posh, it looks crinkly because you've been handling it and I bet it' not been washed and ironed yet. All fabric looks like that when it's been handled and not ironed yet. As for rubbish...nope, not even slightly! Get that thought out of your head right now! You've done a great job with it and I look forward to seeing what else you make ^_^ Welcome to the forum ^_^ Self loathing of ones projects is never tolerated here :P
