Rant away, dear. Why did "Bippity Boppity Boo" spring to mind just now? Ah! I had a vision of your forum Aunties arriving at your wedding! Possibly I'm thinking of Sleeping Beauty and the fairy godmothers... but you get the drift.

I'm framing the MILs now. I've put some iron on interfacing onto the big one and am trying to work up the courage to put it in the washing machine Water won't remove iron on interfacing will it?

When Chris gets up we're going to work on our speeches. The aim has changed a little, not only am I determined to make them cry, but I now have the added aim of making my mum not mad at me when she sees half the guests haven't turned up after she's paid for them. I really do hope the piece is beautiful enough to meet that aim

Wouldn't that be something? I think I'd be quite fearless with my forum aunties there. I'd have invited you too if it weren't for money and this bizarre notion of my mums that people will actually turn up! *sigh* I've given up. I've just accepted that no one will show up, I'll get shouted at and...I will look amazing and be married. I don't care anymore. I just want to get married. Let my guests try and ruin it, it's their lookout, I will not be sending photos to anyone who declined without a bloody good reason (My friend from America not having the money for example or the one from near London who is due to give birth on that day will both get photos, my aunts who aren't coming because "we can't get" and because I've not added them on facebook no pictures for you) and they don't get any of my scrummylicious cake!

I wish we could all show up and dazzle your parents. This is definitely one of those times when we need a Star Trek transporter (with minimal cost) so we could appear in all our finery. Know that we are with you in spirit. The only ones who are important are you and Chris. You are the stars and everyone else are "extras". Those who show matter, the others don't and there isn't anything you can do about it. Best to work on that lovely unicorn pattern. Unicorns bring good luck so that is a great choice to help you get through this pre wedding time.

I'll tell you what's more, for the money we've spent getting somewhere we like that's local to everyone...My dad says he could have taken the close family away to a tropical beach for two weeks to get married. So my Scotland wish was actually the best one and now has support from my daddy. I bet my mum is going to wish she hadn't talked me out of it

I do mean it though, if anyone is local to the area on the day, you're welcome to drop by. And if, for some reason, we do fill up the guest list (you know, I find a genie to grant me some wishes) the venue is open to the public anyway

I will post pictures though and it will be lovely if somewhat empty, but heh I was wanting it on a cliff in technically another country anyway. My best friend, my hubby and my dad will be there, really they're the most important people for me to have anyway. And my cousin (Can you believe she's an adult with a baby? I haven't seen her since she was in single digits!) is going to lend me a baby to cuddle and sniff when I want to strangle someone
