Excellent! The backstitch really helps, and I like the look of backstitch on animated characters.

firekissed wrote:Well, I finally have some updates for you. First is a picture from after my restart, but before I had finished :anotherfrog: the old skin color. The flash doesn't show it super well, but I think you can see how 'off' the original was (it's the darker color on Snow's chest/face).

I like the new skin color so much better! It's just more natural; besides, Snow White is supposed to be pale!

Here's the additional progress I have made:

I started the backstitching because her face looked ridiculous without it. Now that classes are over, I hope to be able to update more frequently again. It's probably about time to switch projects, but I'm not sure if I'm going to return to the Kinkade Beauty & the Beast or start a pair of cardinals for my Aunt & Uncle for Christmas...
:?I was confused when you kept saying afghan. That is usually with yarn. But these make it all make sense. I love your Snow White. So Far so good! Can’t wait to see future updates. :applesauce:

So, the Snow White squares are 95% done. I don't have the skin highlight color (it's been ordered, just hasn't arrived yet), but everything else is done, including all of the backstitching.

Eventually I'm going to add the names of the movies and their years, but I'm not sure what font I want to use yet, and I don't want to figure it out right now  . I may try to do something similar to the title cards, but we'll see.

Also, I thought you all might be interested in my planning sheet so here's a copy:

Sorry it's sort of light (it's in pencil), but this gives you an idea of how it's mapped out. So excited to be pretty much done with one! Now on to Steamboat Willie...

ETA: Ugh, just realized Dopey's eyes are supposed to be blue. Time for a little :anotherfrog:

:applesauce: Looks wonderful! That is exactly how I map out my afghans. Figuring out how each one will fit where and the number of stitches etc. I also do mine in pencil because as I work on one, new charts come out and I sometimes find ones I prefer so I will pull out the map and start rearranging. I think this is going to be fantastic. Can't wait for your next update. :applesauce:
