Hi all

Post by Paula P »

Hi everyone
I'm Paula, my xs is a bit rusty as havent done any for years, it was my first crafting love but have moved onto making lots of other things since. Want to get back into it now but have forgotten so many things

I also have been studying for a year (health visiting) and am in need of some relaxation!!

I live in Shropshire in the UK and have grown up children and 1 grandaughter so have a little bit of spare time (now and again)

looking forward to getting to know you

 Hi Paula and Welcome from me too.

Its great that you have come back to cross stitching again and its like riding a bike, once learnt you don't forget it. I am sure you will pick it quickly again.
Good luck with your studies.

thanks so much everyone for the warm welcome, I have just picked up some xs I havent touched for about 2 years, I took it on holiday and have done some of it, thing is, its so detailed and similar colours I am bored of seeing it already!! 3 new patterns have now arrived and I treated myself to a new magazine, so have a few things I want to get on with, is it best to finish one before starting another do you think???

Paula, that is a dangerous question to ask on here. Quite a few friends on here have multiple wip's and some use a rotation system.

So the short answer is "yes it is quite ok to put your boring/difficult one aside and treat yourself to a new start on a newly acquired chart/kit." Go for it and enjoy it..

Yep- what Sally said.
I have a few on the go right now. I just finished one last week so I am down to 3 that I work on regularly. One was set aside for a while because I was bored with it- but I just picked it up again yesterday and worked on it for about an hour.

Have fun playing with your pretty threads and fabric. Happy Stitching
