Mirabilia Enchanted Mermaid updated 21st Sept 2012

Hi everyone! I'm a new member here and I would love to show you all my progress with Enchanted Mermaid by Mirabilia:



I started her around 2 weeks ago and have been stitching her on and off. The thing that attracted me to her mostly was the sheer amount of beads and treasures in her which I can't wait to add.

I am stitching her on a hand dyed fabric called Mermaid by The Crafty Kitten. 28 count 2x2.

The sparkly fabric is surprisingly easy to work on, I tend to let the other stitches guide me around the design as the holes are very small.

I am finding it surprising just how beautiful hand dyed fabric is and it feels really luxurious to work with.

I'm getting very impatient to add the beads and so I have been working some more on her and I'm ahead of this photo a fair bit. Her shoulders and arms are taking shape now and I'm working towards her bodice.

I should have another update very soon.
