So I'm starting a new thread for this following yet another restart of a project!!!!!
I'm doing this in secret as my OH doesn't understand my restarting projects, especially as I'd completed almost 2 pages!!!
Started bottom left this time!!
And here's what it should eventually look like

Great restart. I wish I'd been as smart as you and restarted my LOTR piece after 2 pages and not 6+, but I am still so glad that I did. If I hadn't, it would have gone to the bottom of the UFO pile. Now I am excited about restarting. I don't know if my DH would have understood either, though as an artist he did redo paintings if they didn't look right to him. Still, like Sally said, the sooner you get back to,where you were, the sooner you can bring it out in the open. Will he notice that it is now on the left rather than the right side of the design?

Yes Carole he probably will notice as before a started top left and now it's bottom right but by the time I do bring it out I hope to have quite a bit done. I'm just going to work my rotation so I'm doing this when he's on late shifts.

Ha! I had to laugh when I read about your reluctance to tell your Hubby know about your restart. I get all sorts of comments from family and friends when I restart something. It doesn't matter. If I am not happy with the work, I would rather have a fresh start than work on something I am not happy with.
Started on HEAD recommended 25ct 2 over 1, found that too bulky.
Started again but 1 over 1 this time, a lot easier but I wasn't completely happy with the coverage, the bit I had done was mostly pale colours and was concerned when it got down to the darker colours I wouldn't be happy.
Since starting I have discovered I much prefer 22ct 2 over 1 so that's what I'm doing now.

Oh yes 2 over one on hardanger is so much better than 25 count! Sorry you had to restart, but very much the right decision, there is nothing worse than feeling unhappy with what you are doing!

Wow...you found 25ct 2 over 1 bulky...I am stitching my HAED 2 over 1 but on 28ct and I love the coverage each to their own...I just find it amazing the different ways people like to stitch...

Lovely restart Emma and hope you'll soon be able to bring it out of hiding

I can't even conceive of it being possible to do a fully stitched piece 2 over 1 on 28ct, especially when it gets to confetti. I found 2 over 1 on 25ct bulky too so restarted my HAED 1 over 1 on 25ct. I'm doing my rose window 1 over 1 on 28ct though and that has immaculate coverage for me.

Excellent re-start! I can't imagine doing 2 over 1 on 28 count, I'm doing 1 over 1 with my current HAED and it's insanely thick at the back.. plus the coverage is way more than adequate.
Didn't touch this last time OH was on late shift but have worked on it the last 4 evenings!!!!!! And .........
We have a butterfly!!!!!!
