Dog Bone Wisdom Update 9/20

This has been my 3 year project for my best friend. This project has seen many states and sites, has survived my blindness, 3 children being diagnosed with diabetes and 2 people that we both loved are in heaven now have also been a part of me stitching this project. So what started out as just a cute piece that I thought she would like has turned into a 3 year life project that has seen more than most pieces would.

Here is the updated picture. All that is left to finish is the bottom left 3 bones. And the backstitching on the bones along the bottom. Then it is off to the framers!

Beautiful work! It's humbling sometimes to realize how much ourselves and our lives go into our stitching.. A lot of my pieces on my wall remind me of the things going on in my life at the time I stitched them..

Beautiful! It is amazing how much life goes into our work, I hope finishing it is cathartic.

I was able to get a few hours of stitching time in this morning and have the next bone almost finished! So excited!

Ok...not a picture update! But, I wanted to say that all bones have been finished and I am half way finished with the backstitching on the bottom row of bones!!! Tomorrow should have a finished piece!
