Dimensions Patchwork Santa WIP as of 28th September 2012...

Post by Sandz27 »

^^^ progress up to about Feb 18th this year...I then stopped to work on my HAED Coral Addiction (see progress thread here: http://www.crossstitchforum.com/viewtop ... ilit=coral)

I have picked up Patchwork Santa to work on him again so I can finish him in time for Christmas 2012 :D & here is where I am at with him now. Back stitch completed (except for little bits in the corners of the border)...just a little bit of the border to do and a little bit of his "fluff" on his coat :D

Here is what the original looked like:

I decided I didn't like the yellow oval so I missed that out of my design and just repeated the border :)...I stitched him a bit like a HAED, 2 over 1 (tiny stitches :))

I hope that you like my project & my progress...

Very pretty & I didn't miss the oval at all (if you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have known that the design had one in it).

You've stitched it very well! :applesauce:

Thanks everyone :)
It was easy to miss it out because the border just repeats itself so it was easy to work out what was missing where the oval should've been :)
He's been a lovely project to work on and I've enjoyed every stitch...
Not much to go though now & he'll be done YaY!!!

Only just picked up this thread: it is a fantastic Santa with his multicoloured patchwork coat and your version without the oval looks much better than the original design picture!

I LOVE that! I collect Santa's and just purchased the Kneeling Santa (haven't started yet!) but I really love this one too!
