HAED QS Red Witch

Don't know how 'quick' it's going to be but oh well. XD

Here is the picture of what it SHOULD end up looking like. We'll see how that goes. XD

It took 6 hours to get the floss dealt with and to measure to see where I should be starting. I still have to get the actual grid drawn on but I'm nervous to draw on the canvass and then have made some mistake and it won't come off.

Here is all the floss it too. (Minus one that Matt ran out to pick up) This was after 5 hours of work. It took another hour or so to get the last of the floss on bobbins and to check them all off the list as I put them all in the case. The case is full and I think there were just under 90 colors.

That's kind of what I thought as well. XD I didn't quite realize it had so many colors or I might have started with another pattern I bought. Ha!

But I think a few of them must be used for very few stitches stitches as one of the shades of the hair or dress. Not to mention all the random shades of blue! The sky and the dress have lots of shades and so does the hair if you look at it so who knows.

Oh I'm sure! XD But I couldn't find a kit I liked and just kind of jumped into this one feet first! Good learning experience I suppose!

I haven't done cross stitch since I was about 9 so this is going to be interesting.

Good luck, remember it's just one x at a time. HAEDs are time consuming but so worth it. And you'll be addicted before you've even noticed

I can see a lot of different shades of blue in that. Good luck with your stitching! What is your fabric count?

I'd like to second that comment! Don't be shocked when you find that it calls for a green or a purple in a section that you would swear doesn't have that color because once you get all the colors in you will notice that it has a depth to it that surprises. Also don't be disappointed if a shape doesn't seem like it is coming together, because all of a sudden it will be better than you expect. I guess I should have put an "I" where I typed "you" because that is what happens to me all the time. Sometimes I don't see the detail until I go to take a picture and it is all there like it is supposed to be.
If you are using a washable ink pen for gridding it should all wash out fine from your fabric. I sometimes test mine in a corner before starting the gridding even though I have never ever had any problems with it.
