:applesauce: Very pretty. I admire good knitting as I never could get on with it (drop and add stitches all the time in an incredibly random way). And the color is really very deep and warm. Great job.

I've always loved knitting and it's really gratifying to find that with persevernece I can still do it. Crochet, however is a different matter. My mum has tried to teach me on and off since I was a teenager but I CAN'T do it and I don't know why. Very strange!

Wow, that's a lot done. Hmm, in the same time that you've done that, I've done 1 and 1/2 sleeves of my baby cardigan  Must get those needles out!

Oh Liz what a bleep for you, well done on completing it but so sad that it does not fit after all your hard work.
Do you have a friend or relative it might fit for a xmas/birthday present maybe?

I agree. It is beautiful. Well done. I love the colors. Is it a variegated yarn? Or did you have to change yarns fairly often. I never could knit. Always ended up with too many or too few stitches as I can only deal with one stitch at a time.

That is beautiful you are so clever, I wouldn't know where to start. Sorry to hear it's too small though. I hope you find someone it fits and your hard work isn't wasted.

Yes it is a variegated yarn. Really fun to knit with as it was truly random and had a huge range of colours in it.

Darn it, I hate when that happens and worse when its too large too and one runs out of yarn. Hope you can find a home for it after all your hard work. It really is beautiful Liz. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Wow you are doing great.

I cross stitch, but my mum taught me to knit when I was about 7. I didn't do any in my 20's and picked it up again in my 30's. I've just finished a large cross stitch picture which took a while and decided to knit some baby clothes, even though my RSI is playing me up , I can't just sit and watch TV, I have to do something! But I decided that knitting is harder on my hands than cross stitch. But I'm nearly finished a baby hoodie I am making for a lady who is having a baby a work.

Keep up the good work.

I love knitting with variegated yarns, somehow they go more quickly. Some of my garments turn out too big as my tension is an issue.I too hope you have a good friend who can wear this lovely jacket.

You could try blocking it, wet it in warm water and stretch it out a bit bigger on a couple of old towels to dry out of direct sunlight. This can help relax the stitches. I'd also like to mention that your cardi looks waaaay better than the one in the pattern photo. It's too lovely to give up on just yet. If I haven't explained myself properly, google blocking. Fantastic job!
