YAY! The first section of the chain! Got to do a lot of color. Browns and greys are colors. Not nearly as much confetti actually as I remembered when I stitched it before, but then it was my first attempt at an HAED. Also, sooooooooo much easier tenting on the 28 ct and stitching the chain than it was 2 over 1 full cross stitches on 25 ct. The chain has about 15 colors in it but it never was hard getting the needle through the fabric. Laverne was not much interested in this one or maybe just decided to be a good sister because Shirley has been having a bit of a relapse and so is wanting more lap time. She likes to inspect the back of my stitching The black stitches are very neat and she is helpfully covering up the bulky mess of the chain as she obviously doesn't think it should be made public :doh: .

I think working a little on this between pieces in the rotation is going to work until I have restitched what I had already done. Probably won't post another update until I finish this page as it is all black.
