123 Fonts

Post by Rose »

I would like to add the dates for my Angels but I am finding it hard to get nice number fonts. Where do you all get your numbers from. There are tons of Alphabets out there but not many also add in the numbers for you. :(

When I am at the library looking at books for Deb, I'll keep my eye out for numbers also. I'll let you know what I find

I have a bunch of alphabet books. Which is where I have usually gotten numbers. One thing you might try is if there is a font that you particularly like on your computer, try enlarging it and cutting it out and maybe tracing it on some paper or even graph paper to help you chart them. I saw that done some where but can't remember where. If you see some numbers that you like in an alphabet book, let me know which book and you are welcome to have it to stitch from. I don't need them now nor expect to for a good long while.

With numbers I usually play about with graph paper and do it myself - there are some out there though:

Yarntree have one or two with numbers:

Heres one from Ellen Mauer Stroh
It was a companion to the Flower Series freebies she did in 2010
May be a bit blocky for the angels- but I think numbers just are blocky

And here are a few from Scarlet Quince- some backstitched, some full crosses

I was at the library last night
Very disappointed in their book patterns- for you and for Deb
The books I found with pretty alphabets didn't have numbers- which I too find as odd.
Have you looked at any baby or wedding sampler patterns? Those would both have numbers you could borrow from, with pretty, scrolly, girlie details.
