AAHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhh beautiful. My second most favourite American bird - the eagle it tops. Just love the majesty of the eagles soaring high and the colour of the cardinal on a snowy lawn which is a memory which is ever green.

Fabulous update Karen and such beautiful and neat stitching. :stars: :stars:

Thank you for all of the very sweet replies!! I too absolutely love Cardinal birds--and thoroughly enjoy watching them. We get them at our bird feeder all of the time and enjoy watching them rule the area. The colors on them aren't quite as brilliant here in Florida but I'm just very glad that they are year-round residents here. We've been so fortunate as to have several pair live in the area and have seen numerous baby cardinals visit our bird feeders and bird baths over the year.
As for bold, yes they are very bold. I remember one day a few years ago where 1 male quite literally bullied off at least 5 different blue jays from the bird bath he wanted to bathe in, and all within a matter of a minute or two---I thought for sure the blue jays would end up victorious but the cardinal stood his ground and the blue jays all ended up flying off. @rotfl: @rotfl: @rotfl: @rotfl:
mechie is exactly right, those are dogwood flowers that the Cardinal is sitting on but sadly that tree won't grow well at all in Florida
