Australian DMC Olga Gostin - Heritage Buildings Range.

Post by Ekidna »

Calling all aussie cross stitchers!!

I'm not being nationalistic, I promise!

In 2005 I was back home (Oz) for a visit, which is when I started cross stitching and I came across this beautiful range everywhere. I absolutely loved it, but felt too much of a novice to buy any, thinking I could buy on net back in Uk.

It is now 18 months later and I havn't found any online. I've tried worldwide ebay searches and Australian websites but no luck.

I was wondering if the range is still avilable? :?:

I just visited a site with her stuff on it and it is gorgeous. I love houses, they are my fav thing to do. The prices arnt bad either. $23 Canadian ($12 Aussie) for a kit. and shipping under $49.99 is $7.50 to Canada.
Sooooooooo.. to answer your question, yes they seem to be available. Just type her name in your web browser and you will see the site. Thanks for the headsup, I just love them and will probably order one in the future, even though I hate kits.

Well, thank you, I had looked on a few au sites when I came home, but had't thought about doing a search again, now there's loads!!

I love building designs too, I think they look great as a set. I havn't actually stitched any yet though.

Just an update.

My beautiful sister has ordered me two out of the 8 in this series. :D Unfortunately The Old Federation House is out of production and out of stock, but she has ordered 'The Old Queenslander' (that's me!!) and 'The Old Metal Roof House' for me.

Here is the link for those of you who want to take a peek! :D

Thanks for the link those are some very nice patterns. I am not much of a building stitcher but those look to be some nice works. Good luck with your quest to stitch.

My dad loved to get pictures of old outhouses, especially if they were in black and white. He had three or four books of them. I am wondering were they have gone off to. Middle brother probably got them.

It has been a long time since anyone posted on this thread but I was hoping someone could help me.

I have been stitching the Olga Gostin series for a few years now and have almost finished the collection. Unfortunately I am missing OG002 Federation House and OG003 Old Brick House and they are not longer available.

I'm hoping someone would be willing to post/email a copy of these patterns to me so I can finally finish the series. I have all the other patterns and would be happy to post/email them.

Here's hoping my cyber-message in a bottle reaches someone who can help me.

I am sorry to tell you but no one could make a copy and send it to you, that would be against the copyright laws and it would get all of us in trouble. You in turn can not make a copy and sell/trade/ or give away any pattern that is not your original design.

If some one does have the chart you are looking for they could trade/sell/ or give you the original but no copy.

Whoops, sorry everyone. Didn't realise about the copyright issue. On that note I would be eternally grateful for anyone will to trade/sell their original copy.

and confusingly also there is 'old federation house' which is easier to find the 'federation house' and 'old brick house.'
