French knots

Hiya everyone!

I have great trouble doing French knots!! Is there an easy way? Or is it just me? I have a few projects that require them and a can't for the life of me do them - its frustrating!!! :x

There are lots of threads on the forum about french knots - but one of the things that helped me is to make sure you have tight tension on fabric and thread (ideally in a hoop/frame as you need two free hands) and also watching a video, such as this one by Mary Corbett made everything click into place!

Make sure you hold the thread taut after you've wound it around the needle. Took me ages for that particular penny to drop, but once it did I never had a problem with French knots again.
