DMC and Anchor threads on the same project??
I've recently bought 'A Summer Ball' chart by Sandy Littlejohn and the thread list gives the choice of both Anchor and it's DMC equivalent. I've got a lot of Anchor threads and some DMC. I've not looked in great detail at the list for what i've already got but wondered if you could combine Anchor and DMC threads in the same project. Sorry if that sounds like a silly question.

Re: DMC and Anchor threads on the same project??
Sure.
Theres no reason why you couldn't.
I've done a few projects that combine DMC and an overdyed brand.
And I've now switched to use Anchor black whenever black is used in a project- regardless of which brand is called for.
I wouldn't combine skeins of Anchor and DMC for the same symbol.. but no reason you can't use an Anchor red, and a DMC blue.

I've mixed them up before, on my own accord. I am trying to use up some leftover Anchor collection I have (that's getting a bit too old) so whenever I do a smaller project that has the key for both DMC and Anchor, I use Anchor for the colors I have, and DMC for the rest.
Did that for both these projects on this link, and I like the result.

Thank you so much for your replies
I did think it would be ok to use both for the project but as I've not done this before, I thought i would check.
Thank you again.

Thank you again.

Heck yes. I do it often ... I've even thatched the DMC and Anchor equivalent together for large blocks of cat fur where I've run out of DMC ...
Myst..

That's great! Thank you for your replies. Sorry if it seemed like a bit of a silly question but sometimes you just need reassurance with things.
