Well, it was my day off....and it was not the day I thought it would be. I actually spent the day organizing my bobbins and it took entirely toooo long. Tomorrow, hopefully, I can get something done. ::crossing fingers::

Yeah, I can relate to sam with organizing threads in bobbins that take soooo long! I have purchased around 20+ and now just thinking of winding them....OMG  :ratherbe:

I also got a new pattern in the mail today, the John Deere Tractor #9. It's going to be a gift.
Here's a link. http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-bin/itemde ... tem=96-527
The pattern itself looks a bit "outdated", and it says it was stitched on 14 count Fiddler's cloth, but that light tan or bone Aida are good alternates. I have never heard of Fiddler's cloth, but I am about to google it. Any opinions of it?

I think it'll be a fun project to do when I need a break from the Honey Bear.

Fiddlers cloth has a sort of tweedy look to it. They may have thought it would give a nice antique look to the picture. I am sure Charles Craft will have some.

I have used Fiddlers cloth and it was so easy to stitch on. I really enjoyed it. It looks as Rose said, a bit tweedy and it's a bit stiffish to the touch.
I got a piece recently off ebay.
:D

If you look in my gallery, the cat on the quilt was stitched on Fiddlers cloth.

Oh, threadbear, I was looking at your gallery the other day and was admiring that cat! So cute!

I love finding cross stitch patterns that have quilts in them! I think it's so cute.

You should look at Paula Vaughns designs then as all of her seem to have a quilt some where in the design.

Thank you! :D

I found that very easy to stitch, although I had to change the border as the pattern wasn't symetrical.
You will love stitching on Fiddlers Cloth I'm sure!

Hi Mea it is nice to see you again. To bad you have had no time to stitch. Hope that will change soon and you can get back with your project and with us.
