Pirate Dragon HAED

Post by Jenny-M »

I've finally recieved everything for it and finished all my WIP so I started this yesterday!! Heres what it will(hopefully) look like in the end:

And after 8 solid hours of stitching:

the finished piece will be 8" by 11" so not huge, and theres nice blocks of colour, so im not having to change colour every minute which is nice(not yet anyway) i've only used 1 colour so far :D

Oh this looks like it will be fun! What a lovely little picture this will be. You've made a great start on it already.
Is this one of the Quick stitch Haeds?

It is Jenny, it would be a great 'lead in' size, to show you if you wanted to attempt one of their larger projects, plus it already gets you used to their ways for stitching etc ...

I'll be interested to see how you get on and whether it inspires you to try a larger Haed.

Nice design, and great start - always nice when you can do one big patch without having to switch threads constantly! BTW what is a HAED?

Littlestitcher HAED stands for Heaven and Earth Designs. There is a web link in the Internet Sites thread. They a re very intricate and huge designs with many many color changes.

This one is adorable Jenny. You should have loads of fun stitching him.

That's a great start. Are your grids by page of instruction or some set size? Is that working for you? I'm looking to try the same thing on my next big project so I'm curious as to how you're working it.

That looks a really good start I was tempted by the bedtime stories dragon I think from the same artist but I have too many WIPs at the moment.
