It is finished!
I decided I will not do the back stitching as both my boyfriend and I are happy with it as it is. It will now be washed, ironed and will go off to the be framed together with the cacti project!
I am sorry for the poor lighting but even with my DSLR I could not help the dark and rainy atmosphere we have in northern Italy today!

Thank you all for the super nice comments!
I will post the framed picture for sure but it will take me a few weeks to get around to do it, I am really incapable to do it myself and need to use a frames shop :-(
My favorite is run by a super nice lady that always does a good job but she is not the fastest :)

A beautiful finish, and it looks great without backstitch -- backstitch might make it a little harsh if it outlines things? Looking forward to seeing it framed!

(PS isn't it strange how some projects don't come alive until the backstitch is done, and some simply don't need it?)

Mabel, that is exactly what I was also fearing!! and one the reason why I decided not to backstitch it, the main one being my proverbial laziness and hate for backstitching @rotfl:

It is strange indeed how that works.. I do think that lighter color such baby blue, pink or yellow might benefits from the help of the outlining.. In this particular case the design was thought well enough that it can do without easy
