Hi folks,
I have been using this http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/D530 ... 53035.aspx" target="_blank" target="_blank floor stand for the past few months with a scroll frame and it has been brilliant. I have just started a new project using a hoop and find that the hoop lifts off the stand when i bring the thread through from the back (i'm assuming it's due to its weight).
Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and any ideas how to solve this. I'll probably get a new scroll frame to use eventually, but in the meantime i would love to get stuck into stitching this new piece but its a nightmare having to hold the hoop with one hand while doing all the stitching with the other.
Thanks

Re: Floor stand with hoop
mmhh it depend how tick the hoop frame is but maybe you can secure it with a couple of big hair clip? something like this:

just thinking out loud.. I have a Stitchmaster myself but never had those trobles, the only time I used it with a hoop I had a heavy piece of fabric in it so it held it down..

Re: Floor stand with hoop
I learned from the other members of this forum that there are no limits to what a big hair clip can do
