Update time! :applesauce:

I think that I am going to have to alter the pattern though - the tail of the budgie on the right is bugging me. Although I am yet to finish it there is a section on the right which I have finished that just doesn't look right - like it has a bit missing.

My problem is that I feel fine as if I could go to the gym / dance class but I have to wait 2 weeks to 'heal' from having day surgery. At least I was still allowed to do my 10km fun run on Sunday even if I had to walk the whole way. :D

Oh great progress! :applesauce: :applesauce:
I've had to do that before to patterns. It'll drive you mad if you don't change it.

Anyhow, it's looking great. :D

Such lovely bright colours, beautiful! I agree with Threabear, if it's bugging you it's much better to change it or you'll never be able to look at the finished piece without those dreadful niggling feelings. Good luck with the designing!

Oh yes I know it well those little quirks in the pattern that just drive you crazy. It took me a few years to have the confidence to change anything but know if it bugs I change. No one else can notice the difference but you see it and it just annoys the heck out of you. So I say change so you can enjoy the result amd the colors are so nice and bright . Lovely. :applesauce:

I don't know if I'd have the confidence to change a pattern other than a color choice, but if it bothers you go for it. Otherwise you'll always look at it and wonder . . . unless you give it away.

Well I have made a start on the January snowman (25ct evenweave over 1! ):
ImageImage
I have wanted to start these for a little while and at the moment I seem to have unintentionally put my budgies on hold

I know that it is only fair that we share around Mr. :ribbit: but can you send him my way when I am working on the 14ct and not the 25 ct? I was sooooooo tempted just to discard the whole project when I realised that I had to remove all the grey across the bottom and all the blue up most of the right side because I had put it one stitch to far to the left and it was going to be too hard to fudge it.

Then I thought about how much time I had already spent gridding up the fabric and how I really really wanted to finish it so it took me 1.5hrs to carefully snip, pull and twease the thread out and then another hour to restitch and you can see the results above.

Regarding altering the budgies I would say go for it otherwise you will never be satisfied with the result.

I have just completed an evenweave picture of herbs and spices and when the chart was laid out my OH noticed that the spice jars had different size labels and the jars were all different and said that it did not look right. I did not like two long chillies (I think they were chillies). So I altered the jars and left out the chillies and I must admit that the end result is now very pleasing.
