Help on tea dyeing please

Post by ceekay46 »

I would like to do something subtle with some dazzlingly white even weave I have in my stash and wondered if dyeing it with tea might give it the look I want but I am not sure exactly how to do it. I would appreciate any advice.

I've never tried it myself, but if you google "tea dying" there are a lot entries, even a you tube video. Let us know how it turns out!

I've done a lot of tea and coffee dyeing. It's best to practice on small piece of fabric first. The colour you get depends on the strength of the tea or coffee and how long you leave the fabric in the liquid.
