Ballet Patterns?
Okay, so lately I've really been missing my old days of ballet class and dance lessons. Anyways, I started a cross-stitch piece of some pointe shoes awhile back (using a self-made pattern), but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any other ballet patterns out there? (Free would be good, since I'm low on cash, but anything $10 [USD] and under should be fine.) I'd really love to find and finish a piece of cross-stitch for myself since I've got a ton started as gifts to others.

Not sure what style you are looking for, but you can try ABC Stitch
or Google Search. I saw that ABC Stitch didn't have much under $10 but the Google one does.

Re: Ballet Patterns?
IMO there are not many great ballet patterns out there (I still do classes so like you I love doing ballet pieces) however there is a pattern book by Cross My Heart Inc. called 'Ballet Classics' which has some reasonable pattens in there (I found it being sold on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CrossMy-Heart-Cro ... 0116a26968) and I also did a small kit by Dimensions which I love (you can see a pic of it finished in my gallery).

What about the dancing queen on this site? It's not exactly ballet just dancing but if you like funny, it is really good.

OK, I knew I saw some somewhere. Here. This site has many ballet patterns. They are free. Sometimes you have to scroll down to find them.

Re: Ballet Patterns?
Thanks for the links. Kimkat..I wish I could bid on the book; it looks like it'll only ship to buyer in the UK though and I'm in the US.
And I know what you mean about there not being a whole lot of great ballet-related patterns out there; I've been looking for about a month now which is why posted here, just in case someone else might've found something.
benceagi: those are all a bit cartoonish, (no offense), and I'm looking for something that isn't quite so...cartoonish.

Not sure if you have ever done pillowcases before but I find them extremely easy...
This is under $10 too: http://www.abcstitch.com/subjects_php/s ... ect=ballet" target="_blank
I thought this was cool! I love Degas...it is a bit more money than you wanted to spend but it looks like you get several designs... http://www.amazon.com/Degas-Cross-Stitc ... B0011TM21Y" target="_blank

Re: Ballet Patterns?
have you tried Lanarte? I remember seeing some realistic ballet designs there, but don't know how much they would cost.
Re: Ballet Patterns?
Maybe not the type of thing that lwelizabeth was looking for this time, but these are so cute. I've bookmarked the site to keep an eye on in the future. Thanks Agi.benceagi wrote:OK, I knew I saw some somewhere. Here. This site has many ballet patterns. They are free. Sometimes you have to scroll down to find them.

There are some lovely dance kits here, but they cost more than you wanted to spend - I do love the Maia ones though.

I wasn't sure where you were so I thought that I would post you the link and it gave you an idea of what the patterns looked like. I'm sure that you might find it elsewhere though if you wanted it.

@Susan: I agree; they are cute, just not what I'm wanting.
@kimkat: Yeah, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for it now that I know of it lol.

Jilly: I have now ordered that product; thanks for the link. I was beyond thrilled when I saw that.
wendy: Yeah, I've seen that; I'm not very good at figuring out the currency conversion. (Euro to US. I did look up the price conversion online though, and it doesn't seem to bad. Thanks for the link!

Re: Ballet Patterns?
Britain isn't in the Euro-zone, so it's Pounds Sterling. The exchange is about 2:1, so comes out at about $11.80 for that Mary Hickmott design.

Re: Ballet Patterns?
Oh, ok. I wasn't sure if it was euro or not actually, but its usually the most common (at least for me). Thanks for informing me!

The UK is resolutely sticking with the £ not the Euro.
