Semi Newbie from NC

Post by quirkyk »

Hey there everyone!!!

I thought it might be nice to introduce myself since I've hoped on here and you all have been helping me

I live in Garner, NC and am a huge crafter in general! I do all kinds of stuff from sculpting (polymer clay), knitting, crochet, embroidery, drawing....yadda yadda yadda...Oh...and how could I forget! CROSS STITCH...

Ok...so I have done a few...I was one of those that went to Walmart and got the teeny tiny ones to start with, finished in a day and had to go to a big ol cross stitch store my next go around! That landed me in the realm of a Lavender and Lace piece...
Image

Took me a YEAR to do that one...Since then I have started several smaller pieces, finished a few and now I'm back on the gotta stitch kick...so as usual I've gone and uped my anty! I'm gonna give Merlin and Arthur a try...Image
That bad boy is 23 inches by 14 inches...Huge but I'm a sucker for detail so big is the way to go it seams! So now you know my background and my newest attempt is what lead me here! The first thing in the instructions and I was lost...can we say in over my head! But I WILL get though...with a little help I hope :) Nice to meet you all and I'll apologize for the ignorant questions you'll be sure to see from me now

Hi - a big welcome from me!

I'm soooo glad your going to tackle the Merlin picture. I've been working on the 'Snow White' version for a few months now (in the WIP section). It will be lovely to see how you get on and perhaps we can compare notes along the way...and keep each other sane!

Make sure you keep us updated!

(As I don't even have kids at the moment that is quite some way away!) :D

Really excited to see how you get on - do you know what aida/linen our using etc....need all the info!!!! :D
