Mabel, I love it! So sorry about the demise of your finger, hope it's healing well!

BTW, any dessert left?

Best regards,
Sandra

Snippets (which used to be called Badges....) is now finished   !

Four minis, with or without borders, and some of them now adorning foam items, to wit a notebook, a keyring, and (that's what the beaded Mabel was part of) a name plate for a bedroom door.

I just ordered some brooches for Christmas presents and was wondering what to stitch in them - now I know. :applesauce:
Those tiny snippets look ideal.

Thanks Mabel

Quick card, again using a pre-stitched Happy Hour -- this one is for a lady at my stitching group who's had a hip operation.

It's an adaptation of "Gothic" or blackletter; I'm now so used to it that I can write it "by heart" if that's the right word, so it comes in handy for cards :-)

Just finished this design of Mabels'.

I'm changing the word stitching for gardening - more appropriate for me  and stitching it again using greens and then making them both into cushions.

Image

The threads I used are Anchor #5 1349 and Weeks Dye Works #8 2333 the wording and fan stitches are more purply variegated than looks in the photo it's from Dinky Dyes (number not known - Oops Bags)

:applesauce: :applesauce: Just gorgeous Mabel one would feel heaps better just looking at it. What threads did you use for it please?

Louise, that is fabulous and what a great idea to turn them into cushions.

Well Done both of you..

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely piece Louise! The colors are beautiful, deep and rich. I think this will look great in green also and make beautiful cushions. Looking forward to seeing those.

Rescued this from page 7  -- I'm obviously not doing enough stitching.

The good news is that I have finished a project    the first of two bookmarks making up Windows On The World; I only need to cut round the buttonhole edging to make it a free-standing and usable bookmark.

The bad news is that as I'm using this one as my New-For-The-Show design for the Counted Wishes Festival, I can't actually show it to you yet...

Am also making good progress on Windmills, following Serinde's advice which resonated with an inner niggle I had I am looking for a different dark colour for the centre instead of pure black. Am playing around with dark brown and very dark navy.
