Can anyone confirm that salt-and-pepper.com is still in business? I placed an order with them a couple of weeks ago and haven't received anything. My card hasn't been charged, so I assume that means my order still hasn't been processed. I've tried calling and emailing them but no response. I've always received orders from them quickly in the past. I hope they're still around... I'm anxious to get on my next project (Mirabilia's Spring Queen)!

I got these two in the mail yesterday. I've already done the 'B' in 'B is for Bird' and have just begun the first of the birds.

Despite being in a stitchy slump, not having picked up my stitching for over two weeks  , it appears the stashing bug is still alive and well! Got these bargain Carrie's (cotton) in the post this morning via eBay:

Those are beautiful, Amanda. Do you already have a project for them? Not that it is a requirement for gathering beautiful stash, just curious.

My thoughts exactly :-)
Nothing like pretty stash to cheer you up when you're in a stitchy slump! Enjoy playing with your new threads Amanda, even if you don't stitch with them (yet)

No plans yet, but there are some lovely reds/purples/pinks in there so it won't be too hard for me to find a use for them! I'm thinking I might have to start a few new smalls to get me going again - I think my slump is due (in part) to working on the same project for a while (along with Wimbledon and the gorgeous weather we are having at the mo). Time to raid my freebies collection for inspiration I think :D !

A few days ago I received my "prize" from Cross Stitch Gold mag - a soft cover book of charts of Dragons and Unicorns put out by I Love Cross Stitch. A bit disappointing as I don't 'do' dragons etc but I knew of a good home for it so its off across the water. :( Sorry I never thought to take a picture.

Came in the mail last night. Strange time but at least was delivered by our not so great postal service these days. All from 123Stitch and the material was on sale. The one on the right is a light color and has sparkles that don't show up in the pic. Have no idea what I'll use them for but will find something in the future.

Yesterday my mailbox had a package from 123Stitch.com: a 17x17 QSnap frame, and two opalescent fabrics, a 16ct periwinkle prism (blue) and an 18 count dusk silver (lavender-y). I might have to order another of the blue because it would be perfect for my next project but I need a slightly bigger cut.

I also received a couple of cute little magnifiers (one in the shape of a turtle and the other a hippo - although he was supposed to be a bear). I already had a hippo and I decided I wanted to keep one with each WIP so I didn't have to hunt. They are the perfect size to just set on the chart or the stitching to clarify what's what.

And today I got the movie "42". Nothing like watching baseball games or baseball movies while stitching. I will be stitching as I watch the All Star Game tonight.

I made this huge score on eBay...all this for just $16! Some guy was selling all of his stash & patterns (in a different lot). There's about 50 new DMC skeins and over 150 other DMC skeins that have been cut & organized into the LoRan system. There's also 3 ornament frames, 1 piece red aida and various other sizes of white/cream aida, & some self-sticking board. I use bobbins in plastic boxes so it's going to take me some time to organize this but I love the deal I got and I know I'll enjoy re-organizing everything.

Image

P.S. There's 3 LoRan master boards that are brand new & untouched so PM me if you'd like them (free). Let me know if you want the binder too.
ETA: the binder & LoRan boards have been claimed.
