Floorstand??

I have a MarkII floorstand, which I love and use every time. On the MarkII I mainly stitch larger designs. I would love to stitch some smaller designs, and was thinking of another floor stand (holding a hoop it is difficult for my hands).
I was thinking about the lowery stand. Can this one hold the millenium frame?

With all the variations on the MarkII i would have thought you could do any size on it

yes you can do any size, but I would love to have another stand, so I can sit on the sofa. With the markII I sit on a chair. And not to have to change the stand every time I want to stitch something different.

Whilst I think the Lowery is wonderful, I'm not certain about using a Milennium frame on one. Some people on this forum say they do - but I'm going by the advice of Nicola Parkman - stitchingbyacornishseashore.blogspot.co.uk -. She has put two very helpful videos up (go to the left hand choice bar and select 'Milennium Frame and stand'). Nicola has a Lowery but wasn't comfortable using it with the frame.

I tried Nicola's frame with the necessaire when I visited her earlier this year and as a result am about to order both the frame and the stand (the latter with the long support arms).

I also have a MarkII. I got the Qsnap adapters for it and use those for smaller projects.

I guess it depends on the configuration of your furniture, but I can sit in my favorite chair, or curl up on the sofa, and use the MarkII just fine ...

I do not know if it will work with the Millenium Frame. I think it will be to heavy.

The footprint is no bigger really than an A4 sheet of paper and you can alter the height etc really easily.

I believe one of the other members uses a millennium frame with the side clamp of a Lowery.

It can be a little pricey I think, but a few members have gotten good deals from sew and sew on this

I love the stand!! They also have a Gazelle and an Elan and have their own scroll frame I know nothing about these stands. It took me about a month or so to the get the stand it is made by hand and they are a small 2 employee company. They have a special clamp that comes with the stand that holds all kinds of frames.

Generally, most people set up their scroll frame so that the rollers go the other way, so the back of the work is visible on the scroll rods, rather than the front. That protects the finished work. I think the picture is set up that way just to make it look pretty for the picture.

Well, just because the project is wrapped the other way doesn't stop the tearing and squishing of your floss and fabric, it'll be on the backside instead.
I also don't like having to straddle something. I would much rather have a 'side mount' type frame.

I ordered the lowery instead, I think this will be perfect for stitching in the garden and on the sofa, thanks for helping me

I saw your youtube video on this and you use it with q-snaps right? Is it still working well with them? I am thinking seriously about getting one.

This looks like a picture of the stand I puchased from ebay. Mine is made by Grip it (but I think they are no longer in business) I also purchased a floor stand by the same company. I'm waiting for both to arrive. They are supposed to be very similar to the K's creation frames and I got a very good deal so I can't wait to try them.

Wow just found this and yes I use it with my qsnaps and still love it. I haven't worked on my big projects
and am now waiting on a millenium frame I am hoping it will work with the frame but am afraid the round bar may cause an issue. we shall see. But I love my ergo.
