I have finally stitched

Post by mauveme »

I haven't picked up a needle for weeks, just didn't have the heart for it. Financial worries, my BF's daugher is getting married and I can't afford to go, I have basically been feeling sorry for myself.
I told my BF that I wasn't comming to the wedding or shower (that's this weekend comming). Well her daughter was very upset , she said that she didn't want a present, that all she wants was me there, so how could I say no!
I stitched this today for the shower, at least it's something, and I found a cute chart to stitch for her wedding, French Country bells, the whole thing is in blue, her favourite colour. (Will start a SAL thread when the chart arives)
Also my neice had her baby boy, Noah was born on the 19th, (day after my Brother's birthday) they are all well, so I have to finish that off,
The pic below is something to put on her mom's shower gift which she insists on adding my name to. The paper behid it is the envelope, which is where I got my inspiration for the design, now I am a stitcher, not a designer but I think I captured the feel of the envelope (it is also on her wedding invitations -but better lol) Do you think it works??

:applesauce: :applesauce: Well done!! And I know that the bride to be is going to cherish this as much, if not more, than any fancy stuff she gets. I'm glad you have picked up a needle again and hope that you will find it helps lift your spirits.

Your design is lovely! It clearly gives a great example of a design that they liked well enough to use for their wedding. A beautiful handmade gift made with love is always a favorite to receive. As for their date, I love it. As someone born on a Friday the 13th, I see the humor in it.

Thanks for sharing.
