frustrated, how big should this be?

Post by chatwitkat »

So, my pattern design area is 382 x 315 stitches. I've used several cross stitch calculators, and I keep getting a different answer on how big the design is, how much fabric I need.

I'm going to use 18 ct. Aida.. if I ever figure out how much of it I need. I'm not going to mat the project, but I would want 3 inches, give or take, around the outside.

The stitched area would be 21.2 inches by 17.5 inches, so if you'd like a 3 inch border around it, you'd need 27.2 by 21.5 inches, rounded up to 28 by 22 inches
