Here's my story

Post by ChristiG »

Hello everyone!

My name is Christi. I am married, mom of two young boys, and we live in Iowa, in the USA. I work as a school food service director, as well.

I've been a cross-stitcher before, but it has been YEARS since I've done any stitching. Since having kids, I haven't had a lot of time for crafting in general, but have done a little quilting. About a month ago, my close aunt passed away. She was a huge crafter.....cross-stitching, hardanger, quilting, etc. I inherited most of her craft room, which included more than a hundred unfinished projects! This has renewed my interest in sewing and I am excited to get things organized and begin work on completing some of her projects.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions along the way! I already have a post in the "Wanted" section. There are a number of my aunt's projects that I've not been able to locate the charts for. Thanks so some wonderful ladies, I've been able to locate a few, but there are a couple more I would really love to find. One, in particular, has cute little mice stitched along the edge of the piece. That is my mission.....to find and complete that project!

Hello from your neighbor to the North in Minneapolis.

I took a look at the photos you posted last week- I didn't recognize any of the patterns.. I learned to stitch 20 years ago but have only really been back at it in the last 5 or so. Glad you found information on some of your mystery patterns.

A belated welcome from the West of Scotland! If it can be found, believe me, someone here will dig it out. Meanwhile, set up a SAL so we can haul up the magic bench and cheer you on as you finish these WIPs.
