Hi everybody!

Post by i_cinzia8 »

My name is Cinzia, I'm from Italy and am new to this forum, nice to meet you!
My first love was actually crochet, but since I've started to cross stitch I haven't been able to stop, though I have lots of WIP and not enough finished pieces, and the stack keeps getting higher and higher!
This is me in a nutshell!
Bye for now,
Cinzia

Hi Cinzia! Nice to meet you, I'm new here too :)

At the moment I'm resisting having more than one WIP at a time, but I don't know how long that will last!

 Hi Cinzia and Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will fit right in as we have quite a few people who love to start projects but find it hard to finish them. :D

Greetings from Colorado. It sounds like you'll fit in well here. What are you working on now?

I crochet, too, but mainly during the cold winter months.

Hi Castiza, thank you for your kind welcome! Trying to resist too, but I don't know how long will it last!

Hi Squirrel, and thank you for not making me feel like a mad woman with all the started stuff in the corner asking for my attention!

Hi fccs, I've been to Colorado once, unfortunately only for a short short time, and I loved it! I am currently working actively on two HAED, "Cherished moments" and "The teamaker's daughter", I have waiting in line "The dreamer" by Scarlet Quince, "The romantic stitcher" by Passione Ricamo and a bunch of minor kits looking up from their hiding place plus a long ago started crochet piece hanging around the house somewhere. I have tons of charts, mostly from Haed and SQ that I know I will never be able to get done (unless I will be able to live a couple more lives), but I hope to get done the ones started, at least another one by SQ (possibly "Flaming June") and at least another two, possibly three Haed: "Ballerina Sisters", "Jackpot" and "Lady Seated at her Needlework" and two little ones for my two boys.

 Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! Sounds like you have found the right place! I hope you will post pictures of your WIPs. There are quite of few of us who suffer from startitis which I'm not sure is curable! You will soon learn that we are enablers of the best (worst?) kind and will encourage you in stash gathering. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hi Cecilia, thank you!

And thank you too Vanessa!

Hi Carole! I had the feeling I was in the right place!
Unfortunately any more encouragement and I will have to rent another house just for my stash! One of the reasons I so much like the HAED site is because 1) I can get my chart right away - and they are so beautiful!- and 2) my husband will never guess really how many charts I have already, that way, when I receive stuff through the mail, he complains just a little!
I am going to publish some pictures pretty soon, thank you for asking, I am finding it helpful to do so since it makes me want to be fast so I can show how far I've got.

I looked up the projects you're working on and plan on working on...beautiful pieces. I got tired just reading your plans. :-)

Hello Karen, will post some pics very soon!

Yes, they are a lot of work, but I looked at some finished HAED projects and they look so goooood!
I actually got blocked up for a while when I had to restart "The teamakers daughter" since, for the first time in my life, I miscalculated the fabric measurements, then since I liked the new fabric better I restarted " Cherished moments" too, this time using only one strand for the latter, and now I wish I did the same with the Teamakers too!
Anyways I intend to work on minor projects too (once I find the door to that parallel universe where all you need to do is stitch and be and NOBODY needs you and you do not have to work), who knows when though.....
