Thank you! Looks like I need to put this off to the side for a day of framing.mags wrote:I too think the cats and flowers are complete - I found an out of date etsy listing "Cats and Flowers Pink Roses White Daisies Lily Butterfly Counted Cross Stitch Embroidery Craft Pattern 349 Leisure Arts"

Hi ChristiG,
I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. I'm sure she would have been thrilled by your interest in and appreciation of her work.
The sampler "Home is Where" is by Eileen Bennett. I stitched it several years ago (mid 1990's). Its title is "Home is Where You Hang Your Needlework". The colours of the original are browns. I stitched mine in blues and your aunt changed hers to greens. (Don't you love the flexibility of samplers?). It's actually not a basic sampler, but a great learning piece with several different stitch varieties. Eileen Bennett's instructions are excellent, so you would have no trouble finished the piece.
I'm sorry I no longer have the chart, or I could pass it to you. You can google an image of it though, so you can get an idea of the finished sampler. I'll try to take a pic of mine, if you are interested, and post it so you can confirm the design.
I think it's great you're carrying on your aunt's work. What a wonderful way to honour her memory.
Sincerely,
Kate

Re: Need help locating charts
Thanks, Kate! I would love to see a photo of your finished piece. I did manage to get the original chart and it just arrived in the mail. I am anxious to get working on it and be able to complete one of my aunt's projects.
