Little hello from the UK

Post by Thumbelina »

Hello everyone, I've just become a member and wanted to introduce myself, I'm Rachel and from the UK. I have seen people stitch HAEDs and really want to stitch one myself and thought it would be great to share pics and chat with other stitchers too.

I went onto the website last night and really have my eye on a new release of theirs and I thought I try to dive right in and get stitching.

Nice to have found a forum full of lovely stitchers.

Chat soon

 Hi Rachel and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! This is the place to be for all kinds of stitches and if you have been following us at all, you know that some of us are addicted to HAEDs, but all of us are passionate about cross stitching! Besides wanting to start an HAED chart (which one are you interested in?) what other projects to you like to stitch?

Hi everyone and thank you for the warm welcome.

I've been looking at HAEDs for a while now, and thought it was time to stitch one as I've been lusting after them for ages.

The one I have bought is a new release: http://heavenandearthdesigns.com/index. ... s_id=10928

I really love this picture and just have to stitch it.

I used to stitch Mirabilias years ago, but see myself going towards the more larger projects nowadays. I've stitched a few little gifts for people but nothing like a HAED before.

Thank you again for such a nice welcome.

That is beautiful! As you could tell from my list of WIPs I have to admit to be a HAED case myself. I hope that you will post pictures as you stitch on this piece as well as any other projects you have. We do love pictures!

I will of course post pictures, it'll be the only thing that'll keep me going I suspect!

It's the largest design I've ever thought of doing and it scares me a little, but I love the art which is very motivating.

I need to get all the threads, and as it's my birthday next month, I know what's going on my birthday wish list ;-)

Thank you again for making me feel welcome x

 Hi Rachael and welcome from me too in sunny Brisbane, its great to have you along with us.

You have chosen a beautiful and unusual picture for your first HAED. They are a little large for me although I do have a Santa ornament in my files which will get done - one day.

I come back to take a peek at my post, and I see lots of nice little welcomes, thank you

So, I bought the HAED I want to stitch and I also bought another too which I couldn't resist, so I suppose I shall be stitching two at the same time, because I could not choose between them

I thought I would start a blog too, as I read other stitchers' blogs a lot and love them.

Here a link to my blog if anyone would like to take a look:

What great designs you chose! I hope that you will keep us updated as your rotate through these. I know that my forum updates keep me motivated, especially as my rotation has gotten a bit fuller  since I joined. Looking forward to your updates. Also took a peek at your blog and really like the layout very much. I don't "follow" blogs as I would never have any time for stitching but do take a look now and then.

Thank you Carole :-)

I'm waiting for my fabric for them both, and already have a few of the threads I need to start them, but I shall have to save up for more threads, but I think I can at least make a little start.

I've been sorting the threads out this afternoon, putting them onto bobbins, they colours look so pretty.

HOpe my fabric comes soon!
