Felt Applique Help/Opinions needed!!!

The Felt Applique kit I'm doing requires quite a few French knots which I'm really not very good at and I'm concerned that removing them if/when they go wrong will damage the felt.

But what about if I replace them with seed beads?????

Any thoughts????

I don't see why beads wouldn't work unless it will change the whole look of the stocking to something you don't like. Is there a different stitch you could use in its place? or just put nothing there? Those are the only options I can think of. With the beads being the best choice. Does give you a chance to make the stocking more sparkly if you want to, depending on the bead you choose.

I would go with a small seed bead

I would think seed beads would work, but you could also try a colonial knot. I find them much easier to do than French knots. There are lots of videos and illustrations online to show you how to do one.

Is this the Christmas kit? I think bead will look smashing, better than french knotts
