Blackwork fan

Post by Nylarim »

Here is my old wip started in 2005. I picked it up again and I'm happy that it's almost half way done.

Thanks for looking.

That is absolutely stunning - but it looks sooo difficult!!! Can we see what it will look like when it is finished?

Thanks ladies. I will post the photo when it's finished. This is the project that I want to be alone so I can concentrate. It's so easy to make mistakes and miscount.

This is a stunning balckwork project....! :applesauce: What thread are you using...is it just a plain white? It kind of sparkles....? or was it just an effect captured when the photo was taken? I love this!

Thank you all ladies. I use plain 1 strand of white. I didn't notice that it sparkles. Charmagne, you have a good eye.

It is designed by Mary Hickmott, came from New Stitches magazine issue 70.
Thank you all ladies. Even my dh loves it and mentioned that it looks difficult to do.

Thanks for looking.

This is absolutely stunning. Could you tell me the size of it please and whether the chart is readily available as I will have to get someone to get it for me as I live in Spain.

Thanks

Hope nobody minds if I just jump right in here. The issue is still available at this location, too, although you might be able to get it off Ebay if you wanted. (I'm a great Mary Hickmott fan. Love her designs.)
