I've made a little progress on my shop! I'm hoping to finish it up sometime this week. I'm saving all the back-stitching for the end, so it will be fun to see the detail that it will bring.

Oh, I hadn't seen this one before - it is sooo cute! You're doing a great job on it! I'm another one brought up on the Ingall's stories. I had the book set and read them over and over again until they were completely tattered...

This one's very striking. That dark aida really makes a difference. Who is the designer?

:applesauce: :applesauce:  it. It reminds me of a shop my grandfather used to take me into sometimes. I hated to leave it as there was so much to see.

Beautiful stitching and you are getting through it very quickly. :applesauce: :applesauce:

I agree. I couldn't remember exactly what it reminded me of. I was thinking the store on "The Waltons" but more like "Little House". We have a little store like that up the highway from me that is so much like it, but "Mrs McConnel's" I think is the name. I'm not sure that she is even alive now. Years ago we would just stop in because it was fun. You could buy things there, but only if you could reach them. Thank you for stitching this and bringing back some really fun memories. I bet I haven't been in there for 20 or more years.

The designer is Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum. It's part of her Amish series.
