Another Kinkade Beauty and the Beast Goes to the Fair!

Week 29:

This is close enough to a finish that everything else I am working on has taken a back burner until it is done. Just the lamp post and some greenery left, then on to backstitch and french knots. I thought I would try to get an idea of how many french knots are in this one. I counted 1 of 4 pages, and got almost 500. I think the page I counted has the most, but that is still a LOT And for those who have asked, yes, there is quite a lot of backstitch on this piece, as well. But no worries, backstitch goes pretty quickly, and it really brings everything to life and adds the detail it will need. Anyway, here is my progress from this last week:

Wow this is wonderful. I think I would go nuts with 500 friench knots. backstitch I don't mind as you are right in that it brings it to life.

ohhhhh this is looking good and you are so close to finishing!

I know what you mean about the french knots - I think I did about 200 today and that was only half of one page. I've definitely decided to do those as I go - they're going quick and fairly easy

When you come to backstitching the bottom left page - with the rose - one of the bridges across the river is missing a bit of backstitch I think. I picked it up by looking at the model stitched version. Its the bridge that goes from the 'house' on the left side of the river, to the outcrop of land in the middle. I put in one strand of the purple dash colour - dark yellow grey and I just kinda followed what I saw on the picture and felt right.

Also the french knots on the left side of that house thing I think are listed as the wrong colour. They're shown as dark rust and medium purple but should be dark red I think (thats what I did anyway)

I'm looking forward to seeing you finish this - I think you will get done before me!

Lovely update - you're so close! I was already nervous about the French knots, but 500 on a page...ugh. Those may take me awhile to finish when I get to them.

Fabulous update!! It's so good to see one of the charts come to the end.

The amount of french knots on the Disney Kinkade kits is unreal. I'm definitely not looking forward to them on my kit. But I loved backstitching so I'm actually doing that at the end of each page rather than saving it all until the end.
