Hello from snowy NE Pennsylvania
As the snow keeps on coming I have been staying inside and have been visiting new sites. One thing led to another and here I am.
I am too late to join the Stitching from Stash challenge. BUT that is ok because I have been doing it for awhile now. I definitely have stash for several lifetimes and the older I get the less I am willing to add to it. SO.... I have been making a concerted effort to use up! My poor children don't need to worry about it someday either!
I am a crafter/quilter/stitcher from a small college town in Pennsylvania. I have never met a fibre or piece of fabric I didn't like... or at least appreciate!. For years I kept adding to that stash. Now it is time to use it up.
Presently I am working on a year long project called Fellowship of Flowers. I did pay for the patterns from Craftsy BUT I am only using what is in my stash for the little flowers. I keep uncovering things I had forgotten I had..... it has been fun and a good indoor project with this snowy weather we are having. Since there is a new project every week that means 52 flowers and each month their is a project to use them. SO.... plenty of fun with no expense after the initial outlay. I love it!
The other thing I am thinking about is all the stitchery UFOs I have recently uncovered. I admit to have given a few away. But I am keeping AND will finish the rest. I could easily open a needlework shop with the fibers alone that I have. I look for them when I go to flea markets, yard sales, where ever! Not to mention shops. I once bought out the supply of "flower" thread a store had when it decided to end selling it since they apparently weren't making it anymore! I won't tell you how little I paid....... It was a GOOD Deal!
So I am hopeful with the encouragement of this group I can continue on my quest.....
I do have a blog which involves several different interests The link is in my sig.
Thanks for having this group.

Like you I am endeavouring to use up stash so there is not piles of stuff to be sorted at a later date.
Your current WIP sounds really fabulous and I look forward to seeing pictures of it soon.

Welcome to the forum from snowy Virginia!
I find that I get more stitching done when snow is falling.

Re: Hello from snowy NE Pennsylvania
Hi there, and welcome from the West of Scotland!
The UK is definitely the place all your US snow storms end up. When they get tired of dumping inches of the white stuff on you, we get inches of rain. Up here, it's not so bad. We're used to rain, and our mountains (and ski "resorts") have so much snow now that the mechanisms are buried! Guess it'll be good for someone at some time or another. (Down South is another matter, poor folk.)
Still, glad you found us. Make sure to have a look around the galleries once you have your ten posts. We also have a pub (the Stash & Grab) and also a hospital wing (St Cross Stitch), for those off moments.
