Stitching font

Post by Rose »

Pretty soon here I am going to need to find the font I want for the Girl Power that I want on the bag I am doing. I have an image in my mind of something like the 60 or 70's. With lots of colors and maybe a daisy as the O. Something really "groovey" :D Has anyone ever come across something like that. I am not a big fan of Lizzie Kate so that is not an option. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Wow....I went thru all of my "alphabet" books and came up with nothing. But when I searched google, I did find some interesting fonts that could be charted easily enough.

And I would start looking in the library, under calligraphy maybe??

Good Luck

This is proving tricky. The nearest I could come up with, but it is more flower-power than groovy, is one on Cross Stitchers Club - the French one (the English version seems not to be around any more)

Here's a free font I came across looking for something else on Cross Stitcher magazine freebie page.
It's not the font I know I have seen for 'groovy' lettering. But it could be cute on those designs.

Thank you Mags and Maggie I will look into both of those sites and see what might work for what I have in my head. I may have to try to combine and design my own lettering as what is in my head does not always relate to what is already available. :D :D
