Hello, welcome to the forum. I have only recently joined as you will see & everyone has made me welcome. :D Hope you enjoy it on here. :D I had a break from XS for many years but started again 2 or 3 years ago. I also do a few other stitch crafts & enjoy them, so relaxing. Also do little knitting.
Marigold :-)

Would rather be stitchin than in the kitchen!

Hi Marigold,

Thanks for the welcome. Glad to know I'm not the only one who has restarted cross stitching. I too do knitting -- lately cowls and hats as gifts.

I find cross stitching more relaxing than knitting but do enjoy both!

Hi Debby,

Always have to have a project or two (or more!) on the go. I'm a self taught beginning stitcher so right now I am going to focus on doing smaller things like bookmarks. Seems like a good skill developer at the moment, plus I love to change colors! And ..... thanks for the welcome!

Hi Sally,

Thanks for the welcome and are you sure Brisbane is cool? You must mean cool in the sense of a neat place --- I write this because --- Canada has been extraordinarily cold this winter so I'm a sensitive Canadian when we're talking about temperature :snowman:
Loved watching the Australian Open recently (tennis). You lucky warm person!

Glad you love primrose flowers, the old fashioned ones too. Lived in England in early childhood and can still remember my beloved primroses in the woods and field of bluebells. sigh.

I like to knit when I am watching TV documentaries, need something to do or else get fidgety. Do not like to sit for an hour without something to do. Am catching up on recorded Time Team programmes so need to watch screen regularly as well as keeping my hands busy. Make small knitted things now but years ago used to knit mostly jumpers and cardigans.
