Hi from rainy WA

Post by Spinsane »

Hi,
I'm a homeschooling mom of 5, relatively new to cross stitching. I've knit, spun, woven and more, but only got into stitching since my youngest was born....so basically when I had less time than ever before :? . As with my knitting I start new projects when life gets really stressful, but unlike my knitting, it's easier to hide from others who wouldn't understand, lol.

I've looked around the boards a lot in the last three months, and hope to join in sometimes. Thanks!

Thanks everyone. I haven't been stitching long enough to really have a niche yet. I'm pretty sure I'm not a sampler girl though  , I have one that I've been working on nice December that I'd like to hide in my closet. Otherwise I've started two from HAED, (I don't like fairies, or fantasy decor though, so there's only a little that appeals to me from here), and the calendar from the frosted pumpkin stitchery. I have a cardinal dimensions kit going, and little projects from magazines too. I will try o get some pictures and links up later today.

I'm trying to keep myself from starting one landscape designs from golden kite as well :). When things mellow out, I imagine there will be uncheck of finished cross stitches around here.

Hi Sally,
I meant Washington state. We're just south of Tacoma. That said, if we ever get a chance to travel, Australia is on our list of places we'd like to visit. So is Scotland for that matter.

I apologize for so many errors in my last post. Autocorrect bit me, and I forgot to proofread.

Thank you again. Sorry it took a couple days to take pictures. I've taken pictures of most projects actively being worked on, and a couple hibernating. I have two more; one that may be abandoned, and one I'm using as incentive to finish the Christmas sampler. :) should I post them here or somewhere else?
