Gorgeous! Congrats on the finish. She is a joy to work on eh? I loved beading the bodice as well when I did her 2 years ago! Plan on doing anymore miras?
And now I have to paint the wc where it's hanging. I thought that yellow would work, but now that I have seen it I don't think yellow would work, and I can't find a shade of yellow paint that works. So, I've been look at shade of green from the dulex paint range of greens instead. I think I have found the colour that works, but now I have to choice the shade. My choice is woodland pearl, but which shade. If anyone has advise I would definitely welcome. I've been starting at the colours for weeks and can't make a choice.

She is beautiful in the frame! I'm not very good at picking colors for walls and such. The "conservative" in me would probably opt for the paler colors, but the rest of me thought how different the darkest shade would be. Would make the piece really stand out and matches the bodice of the mermaid. I was going to say gown but it isn't a gown really, is it?

Oh my she's gorgeous! As for the wall color...if it's to be an accent wall, I like the darker greens as accent walls that are bold appeal to me. And the darker greens are so warm and cozy. A lot of it depends on the color of the connecting walls...if they are white, I think the darker colors might be a bit much. Can't wait to see her hanging on whatever color you pick, and she's going to look beautiful regardless.

stunning, stunning, stunning! i am in awe of your talent and this beautiful art you have created! the bead work really pops! good luck in picking the right color---what i would do is get those little samples of each paint and see what you like. it's so hard to choose off a swatch. BRAVO!

God Bless!
"Maybe the past is like an anchor holding us back. Maybe you have to let go of who you were to become who you will be."
As for the shade of paint, I think the smaller the room, the lighter the shade ought to be. Personally, I like the two middle shades.
I'm thinking of having my bedroom painted green to go with Coniferous Forest when I finish it (probably next millennium) and might well steal your Woodland Pearl colour.
As for paint you need to get samples pit a 3x3 swatch of each one on a couple of walls and see what the shade lookes like at different times of the day ,in natural and artificial light. Also you will want to hold your mermaid up against the shades to see if she pops or fades
I realize this sounds like alot of extra work but trust me as a painter that you will love your choice if you spend the extra time!!! And it is still less costly or time consuming than getting halfway done and realizing it's wrong-and having to start over and chuck a gallon or so.
Hope that helps--let me know if you need more
