Your photo gallery looks very professional, I especially like the Peacock and Sepia Gatekeeper one

I wonder if Charmagne has noticed your photos of butterflies yet heh :D

Welcome from a very, very wet West of Scotland. It's clear that you'll find your niche here on the forum, and as we have a special fondness for newbies and are a nosey and chatty lot, you will soon be posting your work in your own gallery here and keeping us up to date on all your 'rescues'.

(*I also promise neither to mother you nor seduce you. Making tea and handing out shortbread is another matter altogether.*)

Hi Colin, welcome to the forum; I'm sure you'll enjoy it here -- we're as unjudgemental as you can get, though we may be slightly mental :-). Jump right in and show us your stitching (what a great doctor to give such excellent advice!) and tell us what you like to stitch -- don't do only your sister's cast-offs, will you, but also projects that you have picked yourself :-)?

Well"Last Supper" is a long term project. I do cards book marks and small projects too.
I am stitching the free Kit with the Dec 2007 Cross stitcher and will when finished start the Christmas Sampler on P46 of the same issue. i tend to stitch from this magazines projects rather than from Kits. I did Bagpuss this way from and old Cross stitcher. This took me three years! It was my first big project. This was stitched for my Ex.

Thanks for the comments. I have been stitching all day (Light too harsh) I went out at Dawn to photograph some Adders and ended up being stung by a Bee!
I will upload more photos later tonight.

I love doing Christmassy designs. Bagpuss, Cards and of course my Last Supper. I love Religious designs but dislike wildlife ie animals and birds they just dont look natural. I dont mind doing trees, flowers and Butterflies. I have bags full of thread so need to use them up on my own designs perhaps using one of my pics. Is there a Computer programme to do this with?

Yes there are many different programs if you look in the Tips and Trick Section there is a thread that we put together to rate our experience with some of them. This might give you an idea of what to buy also if you google the programs most of them have a demo that you can play with to see if it will work for what you want to do.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

Not even bunnies? Bunnies are good to stitch.

Did you get snake photographs? Snakes are so beautiful!
